Rusty Clawfoot & A Vanilla Blueberry Scone

 The dusting.

The measuring.

The crumbling.
[and ET neck inverted selfie]

The whisking.

The shaping.

The clean up.

The aroma.

They were delicious.
Absolutely F-N delicious...
on my great grandma Mary's...
pre-WWII china.

A new outdoor creekside tub space...

is in the works.
[note to self...
must buy...
one clawfoot
and
mosquito netting]

And this played on Pandora...

[G-Ma Mary preferred to watch wrestling on TV
over listening to music,
this song reminds me of her daughter in-law,
my father's mother, Helen.
I am still surprised each day how
my relationship with her has influenced
who I am in this world]

Hello...It's Saturday Morning From My Bed

Oops.
(a creative meeting accident, I blushed)

Mmmm @ Via Delizia
(an after creative meeting indulgence)

Deluge.
(a studio purging day break)

Deluge selfie.

A walk in NW P-town...

nuggets of visual treasures are everywhere.

First warm spring sunshine = sailboat lounging...

and front porch lounging...

Traffic shot.
(going absolutely nowhere for way too long)

Bridge shot.
(because it's a sweet view)

A waste of my time unless I'm feeling a bit of an attitude.

Studio organizing.
(24 larger-scale paintings all protected and wrapped into one nice roll)
(it's all about the large-scale)

Old work, repurposed as a large-scale easel...
over
and
over
again
and
again.

Aside from many hours of studio practice
creating a new body of encaustic mixed-media work,
and exhibition submissions,
I have two side-projects in the works...
(12 large-scale painted panels)

and a site walk for
an August wedding photo shoot.

Bewilderment.

A Good Saturday Prep Day for Planning Art

Chauffeured by child #2...

on a sunny Portland day...

I tested clawfoot tubs...

and shopped for old windows.

I stopped by the marina to check on the sailboat...

went to a market place with interesting things...

and old things...

spent time at the KEEN Garage...

and the Rebuilding Center on Mississippi Avenue...

where I was reunited...

with the park I once pulled James Mercer (The Shins)
through the grass on a wheel-less skateboard
as he lip-sync'd for the camera in 2012(?)
his part to this...
(I also littered the street that day for the shoot
and brought my garbage cans from home
as post apocolyptic props)

Later that Saturday evening,
I chilled a beverage in the backyard creek...

and indulged a wee bit on the deck...

as I contemplated my new body of work,
envisioning them on the back of future artist cards,
as this bunch just arrived in the mail.
