2 - 4 Charity

Somehow this will all mold together to become two pieces of art for a local school charity auction. Two wax boxes, three photos each, representing two elementary school's playgrounds. CLICK HERE! Creating art with the intent to "give without a price tag", opens the innovative process to flux unchallenged without reservation.

Laundry Day

When is a painting complete? There always seems to be more I could add. I will stop with this one...except the side borders do need detailed attention...and the front border could use something to fill the empty thickness...and the sky.....GO AHEAD...CLICK ON IT.

Stirring the Soul of Thankfulness

Spring has finally arrived in my little Gorge town. After the cocooning of dark, cold, snow and rainy days have past, my gleefully, grateful, forever creating mind is inspired by these things...

Fresh Basil with white mozzarella cheese and garden tomatoes drizzled in balsamic.

The countless flowers I have had the opportunity to plant.

and the ability to encase the winter in wax, as a reminder that cocooning is natures way of a patient transformation.

Coffeetable inspiration

I've lost my creative muse. I'm reaching to find inspiration, which I think is around every corner as long as my mind is quiet enough to see it. I googled one of my favorite artist and enjoyed 20 min. of his images online. I have a dvd and coffee table book of his work. The paitence and clarity this man posesses is beyond anything I can grasp right now. He has a family & bills just like the rest of us. He has found that magical space in his mind that when retreated to colossal works nascent.

Uncomplicated Attempt

My simple novice attempt at Andy Goldsworthy's style of art. When on hikes, camping or just wandering thru the forest (yes it happens from time to time) I create miniature rock arches with entry ways. I return to these sites eventually to find them mostly intact. The way the sun beams thru the foliage amazes my senses over and over again.

Wax on

I've used two photos I previously posted as my focal pieces for two new wax-boxes. I will be packaging them and weighing them to get shipping costs for www.dawnsartshop.etsy.com. I did learn when my pine resin and beeswax is melting, not to push down on the top layer of hardened wax thinking it's not all the way melted. I somehow ended up with two hands covered in the mixture and wax splattered all over my studio. I'm still rubbing it off door knobs throughout the house. Lesson learned. This is what kept me sane during that ridiculous escapade. click here.
